Grading

The following are the categories for grading in social studies.

40% Test/ Projects

30% Quiz

20% Classwork

10% Homework

* Students have been asked to keep all graded work. If an error has been made on a grade, I will need to see the graded paper in order to change the grade. If the paper in question cannot be produced, I will not change the grade.

Late work

If you miss the assigned turn in date you have one day to turn your work in late for a reduction in points. Anything turned in after that time will not be graded and you will receive a zero.

If you are absent.

If you are absent, check this blog for the work missed during the your absence. You must make prior arrangements if you plan to make up work in the morning. I am in my classroom by 7:15 a.m. most mornings. If you cannot show up early, you can make up your work on Tuesday afternoons. You must have a note to stay.

Any worksheets handed out in class will be in a box in the front of the classroom.

Notes are located in the yellow folder in front of “THE BIG WALL OF LEARNING”. These notes are to stay in the classroom.

You will find notes online for your viewing pleasure.
